Assessments are coming!

Assessments are required for any player wanting to play in Minor B, Minor A, Intermediate, or Junior divisions. Tee Ball, Farm, and MAPS players do not attend assessments.

Due to COVID-19, assessments will look a bit different this year. Players will need to sign up for a time slot and attend only at that time. There are also specific safety protocols everyone must follow. You must use your child's League Age, which may be different than their actual age, when signing up! Not sure what your child's League Age is? See the Official Little League Age chart: https://www.littleleague.org/downloads/2021-baseball-age-chart/

Sign up for your player’s assessment time here, using their League Age: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040945a8a92da0fc1-2021

Assessments are tentatively (assuming good weather) scheduled for:

   *Saturday, February 6, 2021, 8am-2pm

   *Sunday, February 7, 2021, 8am-2pm

All assessments will take place at Black Mountain Ranch Park (BMR), 14700 Carmel Valley Rd, San Diego, CA 92129.

Safety Protocols for Assessments

  1. Please limit the number of people who attend assessments, ideally it should be just the player(s) and 1 parent.

  2. If your player arrives more than 5 minutes before their allotted time, they will be asked to return to their car until their designated time. We ask that all players and families leave the fields immediately upon the conclusion of their player’s tryout. Both of these measures are in place to reduce the number of people at the fields at one time.

  3. All players and adults will need to wear a mask/face covering that covers their nose and mouth once they arrive at the park and not remove it until they have completed assessments and left the park (players can remove their mask when they are running, hitting & fielding but should put them back on once completed).

  4. Hand sanitizer will be provided and players should use it upon arriving and then again when leaving.

  5. Upon player check in, players will be directed to their assessment location and parents will be directed to the viewing area. Everyone needs to stay socially distanced in their designated area.

  6. Players should bring their own helmet, bat, glove, batting gloves (if used) and wear baseball attire (cleats, protective cup, long pants, etc). A limited selection of sanitized bats will be available for those who do not have or forget their bat.

  7. If a player or family member is showing any symptoms of Covid-19, they should contact the Player Agents ([email protected]) and request a make up time. No player or family member who has symptoms or came in contact with someone diagnosed with Covid-19 should attend assessments.

If you are available to volunteer at assessments, please reach out to Aaron McDaniel at [email protected] to volunteer for a shift or two! Your players can volunteer as well.
